Bus Conduct Rules and Regulations

It is the philosophy of Bre’s Transportation Services that transportation is a service provided by my company for students in the Guilford County area and must not be abused by those using the service.

Bus drivers are to maintain proper discipline of all children riding the bus to and from school. The driver shall keep order among the students on the bus and treat all students in a civil manner. It is the driver’s responsibility to see that no child is imposed upon or mistreated physically or verbally while in his/her charge.

  1. Each student shall be seated immediately upon entering the bus.

  2. Student shall not stand or move from place to place during the trip.

  3. Loud, boisterous, profane, or indecent language/conduct will not be tolerated.

  4. Students shall not be allowed to tease, scuffle, trip, hold, hit, or use their hands, feet or body in any other objectionable manner.

  5. Windows and doors will not be opened or closed except by permission of the driver.

  6. Students shall not enter or leave the bus until it has come to a full stop and the door has been opened by the driver.

  7. Students who refuse to observe the rules of good conduct and behavior will be subject to the guidelines of discipline.

  8. Smoking and or possession of tobacco products and consumption of and possession of alcohol is forbidden.

  9. Electronic devices (cell phones, iPads, handheld gaming systems, laptops, etc..) must not be a distraction to the driver and other students. The driver has the right to not allow these devices while the bus is moving.

Violators of the above instructions will be disciplined accordingly and could lose their transportation privilege

Written discipline report by the bus driver. Parent/ Guardian notified and the student is issued a warning.

Second Infraction:

Student will be suspended from bus riding privileges for a minimum of (3) days.

Third Infraction:

**At anytime, if the severity of the behavior warrants, the student will be permanently removed the transportation service.

The following actions will be considered severe behavior and students will lose their privilege to ride.

  1. Fighting

  2. Possession of a firearm or any kind of weapon

  3. Assault

  4. Destruction of bus property
